Giving Back Through Photography

Captured by photographer Anna Meshcheri during a life-changing week in North Carolina with First Descents—this series documents young adults with MS learning to surf, finding their strength, and embracing the joy of adventure.

As a photographer, I believe deeply in the power of visual storytelling—and even more so in using that power for good. I’m a strong believer in giving back, and I’m grateful that I can do so through my work behind the camera.

Photography has allowed me to connect with causes that matter, support organizations doing meaningful work, and help amplify the voices of communities that deserve to be seen and heard. Whether it's capturing moments of resilience, joy, or community, I’m honored to contribute my time and creative energy to projects that have a lasting impact.

Below are some of the volunteer projects I've had the privilege to be part of.

Volunteering in North Carolina with First Descents

A group of people posing with surfboards on a sandy beach, wearing wetsuits, in front of blue tents under a clear sky.

Documented a powerful week-long surf adventure for young adults diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Invited as the official photographer to capture their empowering journey, helping participants stay present while creating lasting memories through professional, curated images.
